In Japan, there are a lot of beautiful places
and culture, but especially my city Okinawa, which located the most south place
in Japan, is one of the most beautiful places in Japan. I’d like to talk about
the city in this blog. Today, this is the first post, so I’m going to explain a
little bit about my city.
I think almost everyone already know Japan is
the island country, and Okinawa is also island, but it’s very small and it’s far
from Tokyo about 1,600km. I think Taiwan is more near than main land of Japan.
I think location is very good because the summer time, there are a lot of
beautiful beaches like Caribbean Sea, so you can enjoy many activities in the
sea such as canoeing, surfing, snorkeling, and more and more interesting activities.
The winter season, there is no snowing and the temperature is not too low just
little bit windy, but it’s not a big problem. That’s why when I came to Toronto
last march, I was very surprised because tempter is too low for me, so I felt
too cold and the temperature made me feel very sad.
Around 400 years ago, Okinawa was an
independent country, so they have an own language and a culture. It’s very
interesting. My grandparents still can speak the language, but if they speak
it, all Japanese don’t understand what they said because the language was totally
different between Japanese and Okinawan language. However, almost all young
Okinawan people also don’t understand because of the Second World War anyway I
will write about it later with more details.
I love Okinawa
very much because there are a lot of great places, great culture, beautiful
beaches, interesting culture, history, and very kind people, so I want
many people to know about my great city. After read this blog, if you want to
go to Okinawa, I will be very happy.
